Job summary

MBRF is seeking an experienced R&D professional to coordinate daily pilot plant activities, run product and packaging trials, and maintain comprehensive documentation. You will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver on milestones and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on Product & Packaging R&D in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, with emphasis on quality, safety and market opportunities in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in Product & Packaging R&D, Production, Quality or a related technical function.
• Knowledge of food product development, manufacturing processes, sensory evaluation, quality requirements and food safety practices; Middle East experience is an advantage.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily pilot plant activities, including trial scheduling and equipment readiness.
• Execute product and packaging trials, record results and assess feasibility and costs.
• Create and maintain R&D documentation, PPS and specifications.
• Prepare and dispatch customer samples and coordinate technical follow-up with new clients.
• Manage R&D inventory of ingredients, packaging materials and samples.
• Support product optimization, portfolio maintenance and ESG-related R&D activities.
• Collaborate with Procurement and suppliers on cost-saving initiatives and trials.
