Job summary

Ghithaa | غِذاء is looking for a procurement professional to manage purchasing of food products and operational supplies. You will handle requisitions, supplier negotiations, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include supplier evaluation, coordinating with warehousing and production, and monitoring invoices and price trends to support management decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3+ years of purchasing experience in the food industry.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and purchasing/accounting systems.
• Fluency in Arabic and good command of English.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s purchasing and procurement operations for food products and operational supplies, ensuring the required quality, competitive costs, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

• Receive and review purchase requests and prepare purchase orders based on requirements and budget.
• Negotiate with suppliers, obtain quotations, and compare prices and offers.
• Follow up on deliveries and ensure compliance with specifications, quantities, and delivery schedules.
• Evaluate suppliers and develop and maintain an approved supplier database.
• Coordinate with the warehouse, production, and finance departments to ensure availability of required supplies without shortages or excess inventory.
• Review invoices and verify them against purchase orders and receiving reports.
• Monitor price fluctuations and prepare periodic reports for management.

Qualifications & Requirements :

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• .Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing within the food industry .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing/accounting systems.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and price comparison skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, expiration dates, and storage requirements.
• Fluency in Arabic and good command of English.
• Ability to work under pressure with accuracy, integrity, and commitment to deadlines.
