Middle East Mattress Factory Co in Jeddah is seeking a Production Engineer to optimize and supervise daily mattress manufacturing processes. You will bridge design specs and production, maximize uptime, implement lean practices, and ensure lines run smoothly.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5 years in mattress or bedding production, and proficiency with Odoo ERP. Fluent English; Arabic/Hindi helpful. Must reside in Jeddah.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years direct experience in mattress manufacturing or bedding/textile production.
• Proficiency with Odoo ERP or similar manufacturing software.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu knowledge is valued for daily communications.
• Residence in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mattress manufacturing workflows including quilting, foam cutting, and final inspection lines.
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and routing in the ERP system; audit material variances.
• Identify bottlenecks and apply lean principles to improve OEE and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with maintenance to troubleshoot equipment and minimize downtime.
• Ensure foam, fiber, and spring components meet blueprints and premium standards.
• Assign daily tasks to technicians and line operators to meet shift targets.

Position Purpose We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Production Engineer to optimize and supervise our daily mattress manufacturing processes in Jeddah In this role you will be the technical backbone of the shop floor bridging the gap between design specifications and physical production You will focus on maximizing machine uptime implementing lean practices reducing material scrap and ensuring that our assembly lines run flawlessly

Key Responsibilities

• Process Supervision amp Optimization Supervise daily mattress manufacturing workflows including quilting quilting patterns pocket spring production foam cutting tape-edging and final inspection lines
• ERP Data Integrity amp BOM Management Maintain and verify complex Bills of Materials BOM and routing protocols within the Odoo ERP system Route shop floor data accurately and audit material variances to prevent discrepancies
• Continuous Improvement amp Lean Manufacturing Identify bottlenecks on the assembly lines Apply time-and-motion studies and lean manufacturing principles to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness OEE and eliminate raw material waste
• Equipment Coordination amp Troubleshooting Work hand-in-hand with the maintenance team to oversee specialized automated mattress machinery e g automated sewing pocket-coil and tape-edge machines Troubleshoot process deviations immediately to minimize downtime
• Quality amp Standards Compliance Monitor shop floor quality control practices Ensure that foam fiber and spring components meet technical blueprints and premium brand standards before moving to packaging
• Shift amp Worker Coordination Instruct assign daily tasks to and monitor technicians and line operators to ensure shift targets are safely and efficiently achieved

Education

Education: Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Production Engineering preferred).

Experience

Experience: Exactly 5 years of direct experience in mattress manufacturing or highly specialized bedding/textile production plants.

Software & Technical Skills

Software & Technical Skills: High proficiency in engineering concepts and hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (or similar manufacturing software modules).

Language Skills

Language Skills: Professional fluency in spoken and written English is required. Working knowledge of Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is highly valued for daily team communication.
