Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Business Development Representative to generate qualified sales opportunities for our Middle East field sales team. You will work with regional sales and marketing to create sales accepted leads through inbound follow-up and outbound prospecting.

You will gather intelligence on assigned accounts, engage with influencers and decision makers, and collaborate with Account Management and Marketing to execute account-based sales strategies in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Fluent Arabic and English language skills required.
• Highly motivated with a competitive personality and good attention to detail.
• Excellent phone and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) and strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and develop inbound and outbound sales accepted leads and respond to product inquiries; follow up on all leads generated by marketing and convert initial interest into sales accepted leads.
• Gather actionable intelligence (competition, projects, purchase intent, etc.) for the assigned accounts.
• Manage email campaigns to generate new sales prospects and conduct cold-calling campaigns to generate new prospects.
• Complete accurate tracking of communication with current and potential customers in Salesforce.com; schedule demonstrations between the Commercial Sales team and potential customers.
