Job summary

CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems in our manufacturing facility. You will help minimize downtime and optimize production performance.

The role requires a Diploma or Technical Certificate in mechanical fields, hands-on experience in manufacturing, and strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and reading blueprints. You will work in a team, support installations, and uphold strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Skilled with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Committed to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment (presses, conveyors, motors, pumps, etc.).
• Diagnose malfunctions and troubleshoot using blueprints and diagnostics.
• Execute repairs, overhauls, and part replacements with safety and quality in mind.
• Conduct inspections and identify issues or areas for improvement.
• Assist installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
• Adhere to safety policies and promote a safe workplace.
• Collaborate with production/engineering to optimize equipment.
• Provide support for emergency breakdowns and critical failures.

This role ensures the efficient and reliable operation of production machinery, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.

Job Responsibilities:**

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment, including presses, conveyors, motors, pumps, and other production machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and effectively troubleshoot issues using blueprints, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Execute repairs, overhauls, and replacements of defective parts, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control.
• Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment.
