Job summary

CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd is seeking a skilled Front End Mechanic to maintain and repair industrial machinery in our manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal operation and minimizing downtime.

You will perform preventive maintenance on presses, trimmers, flangers, and seaming machines; diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; read schematics and manuals; and collaborate with production teams while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in industrial maintenance preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience as a mechanic in manufacturing/industrial setting; experience with can-making or high-speed production machinery is preferred.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on front-end production machinery (presses, trimmers, flangers, seaming machines).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement repairs.
• Troubleshoot complex malfunctions and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Adjust and calibrate machinery to specifications.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble gears, bearings, shafts, motors and components.
• Read manuals, schematics, and blueprints to aid troubleshooting and repair.
• Document maintenance activities accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with production teams to address equipment issues.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies; maintain clean work area.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of front-end production machinery, including presses, trimmers, flangers, and seaming machines.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with production equipment and implement effective repairs.
• Troubleshoot complex machinery malfunctions and identify root causes to prevent reoccurrence.
• Execute precise adjustments and calibrations to ensure machinery operates according to specifications.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components, including gears, bearings, shafts, and motors.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to aid in troubleshooting and repair.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and address potential equipment issues proactively.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably with experience on can-making or similar high-speed production machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with a wide range of industrial equipment.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Familiarity with various hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions.
