Acwa Power is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Qudra in Qassim, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance, outages, and overhauls on plant mechanical equipment, with SAP CMMS and close coordination with Planning and Maintenance teams.

You will assign work, supervise staff, maintain records, and ensure compliance with IMS and legal requirements. Strong English, SAP experience, and a mechanical engineering background are essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (4-year program).
• Minimum 4–8 years related experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Prefer 8+ years of related experience.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical plant equipment.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Manager for scheduled outages and overhauls.
• Assign and supervise maintenance work; maintain records and reports.
• Execute work orders through CMMS (SAP) and coordinate with planning engineer.
• Report status and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
• Assist in executing corrective and planned maintenance per annual plan.
• Evaluate quotations for spares; manage purchase requisitions within budget.
• Review and update maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and activities.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by management.
• Ensure IMS objectives and programs are implemented and monitored.
• Provide resources for IMS sustainment; report IMS performance to management.
• Ensure legal compliance within scope of activities.
• Identify root causes of nonconformities and implement corrective actions.
• Identify competency gaps and implement training actions.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations of staff.
• Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and organizational requirements.
• Provide on-the-job training and evaluate OJT performance.
• Identify and control hazards in assigned work area; monitor operational controls.
• Report deviations in Integrated Management System and address root causes.
• Report emergencies, incidents, and near-misses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Mechanical Engineer – Qudra / Qassim, Saudi Arabia

Job Location (Department/Plant): Maintenance

Reporting To: Section Head – Mechanical / Maintenance Manager

Job Summary: Works under the direction of Section Head-Mechanical / Maintenance Manager to plan & supervise all preventive and corrective maintenance, monthly / annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant mechanical equipments.

1 Assigns preventive and corrective maintenance jobs as per the direction of Maintenance Manager. Supervises and co-ordinates activities of maintenance staff. Maintains records, prepares reports and composes correspondence related to work.

2 Executes work order through CMMS (SAP) and co-ordinates with planning engineer for job completion and technical matters.

3 Maintain such communications and relations as are necessary to report on the status of matters requiring action and to ensure that corrective action is undertaken.

4 Helps Maintenance Manager in executing corrective and planned maintenance with due regard to annual scheduled maintenance plan.

5 To perform technical evaluation of quotations received from purchase department and recommend appropriate choice.

6 To prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables ensuring budgetary constraints and arrange strategic spares availability to cope up with the maintenance requirements.

7 Review and recommend new maintenance procedures and work instructions.

8 Supervise, direct and co-ordinate the activities of all personnel assigned to his area.

9 To carry out any other duty assigned to him by the management from time to time.

10 Ensure Environmental Aspect-Impact and Hazard Risk Assessment are carried out, controlled and updated.

11 Implement, monitor and report IMS objectives, Targets and programs.

12 Provide necessary resources for effective implementation and sustenance of IMS.

13 Report IMS performance to the management periodically.

14 Ensure Legal compliance with respect to their scope of activities.

15 Ensure identification of root cause for the identified non conformances/ deviations and to implement corrective actions/Preventive actions.

16 Identify the competency gap for their subordinate personnel and implement necessary actions.

17 Carry out annual performance evaluation of reporting employees.

18 Responsible to ensure the compliance to legal requirements, contractual and organizational requirements.

19 Provide on-the-job training to new employees and evaluate their OJT Performance.

20 Identification, documentation and control of hazards in assigned work area.

21 Ensure aspects identified are monitored and operational controls are followed.

22 Report deviations in Integrated Management System and identify root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions.

23 Reporting of emergencies and incidents and near misses.

25 Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Educational: Desired Bachelor’s engineering degree (B.E) in Mechanical for four-year College or university.

Minimum Experience (Type and Duration)

Minimum: 4-8 years related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferable: More than 8 years of related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Certification / Job Specific Skill / Training

Work Condition

While performing the duties of this position, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. In high precarious places he may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or chemicals risk and electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but very loud conditions do exist.
