Job summary

ACWA Power seeks a senior maintenance leader to head plant maintenance, guiding engineers and supervisors to deliver safe, reliable operations. You will lead preventive and corrective maintenance, optimize CMMS via SAP, and manage the department's budget while ensuring regulatory and IMS compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering and 15+ years of related experience, with strong leadership and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering from a recognized university.
• 15+ years of relevant experience and training (20 years preferred).
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance planning and budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental management systems.
• Excellent leadership and English communication skills.

Lead the plant maintenance function and ensure the efficient reliable and safe maintenance of plant equipment and systems Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety regulations approved maintenance procedures and company policies

Roles amp Responsibilities

Lead supervise and assign work to maintenance engineers and supervisors ensuring activities are completed safely and on time Manage employee training performance evaluation development and resolution of work-related issues Implement preventive maintenance plans and coordinate corrective maintenance activities based on plant requirements Ensure effective utilization of the plant s Computerized Maintenance Management System CMMS through SAP for all maintenance activities Ensure effective utilization of material and human resources while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and maintenance procedures Conduct coordination meetings with Electrical Mechanical and I amp C maintenance teams to review maintenance activities and support reliable plant operation Prepare and recommend the department s annual maintenance and capital budget for Plant General Manager approval Review purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables within approved budgets and ensure the availability of strategic spares required for maintenance Analyze and resolve maintenance problems and support teams in troubleshooting Coordinate with other department managers to investigate and identify root causes of chronic and intermittent plant issues Ensure Environmental Aspect-Impact Assessments and Hazard Risk Assessments are conducted controlled and regularly updated Identify establish and monitor Integrated Management System IMS objectives targets and programs Provide the necessary resources for effective implementation and sustainability of the IMS Report IMS performance to management periodically Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements within the scope of maintenance activities Ensure root causes of identified non-conformances and deviations are investigated and appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented Identify competency gaps within the maintenance team and implement appropriate training and development actions Conduct annual performance evaluations for reporting employees and ensure proper waste management practices are followed Ensure appropriate PPE and other required safety equipment are provided to personnel working within the plant Monitor and control contractor and subcontractor activities within the plant in accordance with IMS requirements Ensure achievement of IMS objectives and targets Ensure the Permit to Work PTW procedure is effectively implemented Ensure identified on-the-job training requirements are systematically delivered Coordinate and participate in emergency mock drills Ensure measuring instruments are identified calibrated and properly maintained Perform other duties as assigned
