Job summary

Avensys Consulting in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) seeks an IT Deskside Support Engineer for a 12-month contract. The role delivers on-site, hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, troubleshooting hardware and software issues and deploying OS images and applications.

The candidate will manage incidents via the ITSM system, communicate with users and stakeholders, and collaborate with a fast-paced global team. A Bachelor's degree in IT/CS is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proficient with Windows OS and Office productivity tools.
• Experience with desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals.
• Hands-on experience with SCCM/endpoint tools and Active Directory basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite Level 2 deskside support for end users, including desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripherals.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Support OS installation, reimaging, encryption, driver installation, and application deployment.
• Handle incident and service request tickets via the ITSM/ticketing system and provide regular status updates to users.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A Deskside Engineer provides on-site, hands-on IT support to end users. The role focuses on resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues that cannot be handled remotely by the service desk, ensuring a smooth and productive end-user experience.

• Provide on-site Level 2 deskside support for end users, including desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripherals
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner
• Support OS installation, reimaging, encryption, driver installation, and application deployment
• Handle incident and service request tickets via the ITSM/ticketing system and provide regular status updates to users

Technical Skill:

Strong knowledge of: Windows OS (Windows 10/11), Office productivity tools, Desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals

Hands-on experience with: Device imaging and deployment tools (e.g., SCCM / endpoint tools) and Active Directory basics (join domain, user/group support)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
