The role emphasizes punctuality, menu knowledge, hospitality etiquette, and teamwork with Restaurant Management to drive guest satisfaction and sales while complying with safety and grooming standards.

Responsibilities

• Report to Assistant Restaurant Manager / Restaurant Manager
• Report to duty punctually in correct uniform, polished shoes and nametag according to dress code and Kempinski grooming standards
• Provide courteous, professional, and efficient service at all times
• Perform all duties as required by the outlet
• Know all hotel services and products offered
• Have thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items offered by the department
• Explain and upsell items, offering alternatives as appropriate
• Monitor supplies and equipment; reduce spoilage and waste
• Keep the work area clean and organized at all times
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the outlet
• Handle guest inquiries courteously and report complaints to supervisors
• Report complaints promptly and follow up with guests
• Operate the POS system as trained
• Adhere to hotel policies, fire, hygiene, health and safety rules
• Maintain good rapport with department and hotel staff
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings and trainings
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by Department Head
• Adapt to departmental changes as directed
• Assist with inventories of products and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain a positive, motivated attitude and self-control
• Maintain and update guest history records
• Keep reservation book legible and up to date
• Coordinate printing of restaurant menus
• Maintain excellent communication with related departments i.e. Guest Services, Concierge, Reservations, and other F&B outlets
• Communicate with all F&B outlets, in-room dining and banquets
• Take on additional duties as required by hotel needs
