Job summary

HALA is seeking a Finance Reconciliation Specialist to perform daily reconciliation of acquiring and payment transactions, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution. The role emphasizes data quality, automation, and reporting while coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

You will work across the Pool Account and Core System, enhance reconciliation data, and prepare daily, periodic, and ad-hoc reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience in financial operations, reconciliation, payments, or banking operations.
• Experience with POS acquiring transactions preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate root causes.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of acquiring transactions across Pool Account and Core System.
• Investigate unreconciled items and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Enhance reconciliation data and improve Auto Reconciliation effectiveness.
• Conduct daily Auto Recon accuracy checks and report variances.
• Ensure daily closure and escalate outstanding items to the Reconciliation Manager.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing daily financial reconciliation of acquiring and payment transactions, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring timely resolution and closure. The role focuses on maintaining reconciliation accuracy, improving data quality and automation effectiveness, and preparing accurate reports while coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation: Perform end-to-end reconciliation of acquiring transactions across the Pool Account and Core System, validate Auto Reconciliation results, and perform manual reconciliation where required using relevant and reliable matching criteria.
• Investigate unreconciled items: Investigate, resolve, and follow up on unmatched transactions, coordinating with relevant departments as required.
• Enhance reconciliation data: Categorize reconciliation items and enrich transaction data where required to support accurate matching and improve Auto Reconciliation effectiveness.
• Perform reconciliation controls: Conduct daily Auto Recon accuracy checks and report any variances or recurring system issues
• Ensure daily closure: Complete all reconciliation activities within the defined timeframe and elevate outstanding items to the Reconciliation Manager.
• Prepare reconciliation reports: Prepare and maintain daily, periodic, and ad-­hoc reconciliation reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission to relevant stakeholders.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-5+ years of experience in financial operations, reconciliation, payments, banking operations, or a similar environment, preferably with exposure to POS/acquiring transactions.
• Good understanding of payment card transactions, bank settlement processes, POS acquiring (Mada/Visa/Amex flows), Sadad, IPS/Sarie, Payroll etc... is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify discrepancies and investigate root causes independently.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and investigative skills
• Strong communication, follow-up, escalation, and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to work under daily operational deadlines.
