Job summary

Work standard is hiring an Executive Chef in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to lead our kitchen team, specializing in Pakistani and Malayalee cuisine with a modern twist. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided.

No English language skills are required, but fluency in Urdu or Malayalam is preferred. You will plan and direct food preparation, create new menu items, train staff, monitor inventory, and ensure high hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role, specializing in Pakistani/Malayalee cuisine
• Ability to create innovative and authentic dishes while also managing cost control
• Strong knowledge of traditional cooking methods, spices, and ingredients used in Pakistani/Malayalee cuisine
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and train a diverse team
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
• Biometric passport for travel purposes

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities for the restaurant
• Create new menu items that showcase the unique flavors of Pakistani and Malayalee cuisine
• Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently prepared
• Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
