The EHV 115 kV Cable Splicer & Terminator is responsible for executing high-precision cable jointing, splicing, and termination procedures on Extra High Voltage (EHV) 115 kV XLPE cable systems. This role demands rigorous adherence to Saudi Aramco engineering standards and original equipment manufacturer (OEM - PFISTERER) guidelines to guarantee electrical insulation integrity and uninterrupted power grid reliability.

• Mandatory Certifications:
• Valid, active Saudi Aramco Approval as a Certified Cable Splicer / Terminator (115 kV).
• Direct OEM Certification from PFISTERER for 115 kV cable accessory installation, plug-in terminations (such as the CONNEX system), and straight/cross-bonding joints.
• Education: Associate Degree or Technical Diploma (2 to 3 years) in Electrical Engineering or an allied discipline from an accredited institute.
• Experience: 5 to 8 years of dedicated, hands-on field experience in EHV/HV cable splicing and termination (115 kV class) on Saudi Aramco, SEC, or major energy/oil and gas projects.
• Age & Physical Fitness: 25 to 40 years old, physically fit, and able to manage demanding field conditions and heavy equipment operation.
• Nationality: Open nationalities (subject to certified candidate availability).

Core Responsibilities

• Splicing & Termination Execution: Perform precise stripping, layer preparation, and semiconductor removal on 115 kV XLPE cables using specialized PFISTERER tooling. Install straight joints, cross-bonding joints, outdoor terminations, and Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) plug-in terminations (PFISTERER CONNEX).
• Controlled Environment Management: Establish and monitor clean-room environments (jointing containers/tents) to eliminate moisture, dust, and particulate contamination during sensitive jointing operations.
• Quality Control & Testing Support: Implement electrical stress-control components strictly according to PFISTERER manuals. Carry out thorough visual, dimensional, and mechanical checks pre- and post-crimping/shear-bolt installation. Assist testing teams during HV Hipot, Outer Sheath, and Partial Discharge (PD) testing.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to Saudi Aramco Safety Standards (SAES/SAMSS) and utilize required specialized PPE. Maintain accurate splicing logs, joint reports, and QC documentation for site engineering sign-off.

Technical & Personal Competencies

• Technical Expertise: Advanced comprehension of EHV cable physics, stress-control elements, and Aramco specifications (SAES-P-104 / SAMSS).
• Precision & Focus: Exceptional attention to detail, recognizing that minor preparation errors can cause insulation failure or partial discharge.
• Communication: Professional proficiency in English (written, spoken, and reading) to effectively interpret OEM manuals, technical drawings, and safety permits.
