Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced inspector to lead mechanical inspections of pressure vessels, storage tanks, and piping systems in Saudi Arabia. You will conduct CSWIP 3.2-based welding inspections, review fabrication and maintenance procedures, and generate detailed reports with NCRs and corrective actions.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering (or an 18-year diploma with extensive experience) and relevant API certifications.

Qualifications

B.S degree in Engineering in a respective inspection discipline with 10+ years of experience OR 18 years industrial/technical college diploma plus 8+ years of experience.
CSWIP 3.2 or AWS SCWI certifications are mandatory.
API 510 and API 653 certifications are preferred.
Strong knowledge of applicable international standards and quality system methods.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive inspections of pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping systems, and mechanical components to ensure compliance with project specs and codes.
Perform welding inspections per CSWIP 3.2 standards including visual, dimensional checks, and defect identification.
Inspect in-service vessels and tanks per API 510 and API 653.
Review fabrication, erection and maintenance procedures for conformity with drawings and standards.
Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and recommendations for corrective actions.
Coordinate with project engineers, QA/QC teams, and contractors to resolve issues.
