Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced QA/QC Inspector to perform Hold, Witness and Surveillance inspections at manufacturing facilities or construction sites to ensure Saudi Aramco and project specifications are met. You will review contractor quality systems, document submissions and witness tests to ensure compliance, while producing NCRs and EDRs as needed.

The role requires a BS in Engineering (or 8 years diploma) and certifications (AWS CWI/CSWIP), plus knowledge of API 570.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent required.
• AWS CWI or CSWIP Welding Inspector certification required.
• Knowledge of applicable international standards (API 570).

Responsibilities

• Perform Hold, Witness and Surveillance inspections to Saudi Aramco requirements.
• Inspect material and equipment for proper handling, storage and protection at sites.
• Monitor Contractor’s Quality Systems and records for compliance.
• Review and evaluate Contractor’s Quality document submittals.
• Witness on-site and off-site tests for compliance with standards.
• Write NCRs, Worksheets and Equipment Deficiency Reports as needed.
• Report findings in the required format and maintain confidentiality.
• Work safely and uphold SGS integrity at all times.

Job Description

• Perform “Hold”, “Witness” and “Surveillance” inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities or construction sites to ensure compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements and project specifications.
• Inspect material and equipment as applicable to ensure compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements for proper handling, storage and protection at SAUDI ARAMCO facilities and/or construction sites.
• Monitor Contractor’s Quality Systems, records and Quality Personnel for compliance with requirements.
• Review and evaluate the Contractor’s Quality document submittals.
• Witness on-site and off-site material and installations tests for compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO standards.
• Record legibly and accurately all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
• Write inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Worksheets (WSs) and Equipment Deficiency Report (EDRs) as needed.
• To do work as planned and scheduled with a better professional approach and to report the findings in the required format.
• To work safely during inspection activities and to advise others to work safely.
• To maintain the confidentiality requirements in each activity during the service period.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in Engineering in a respective inspection discipline with at least four (4) years of experience in the relevant inspection discipline. OR two (2) years of industrial/technical College Diploma plus a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant inspection experience.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)orCSWIP Welding Inspector Certification required.
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge of applicable international standards (Knowledge on API 570)
