Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced inspector to perform Hold, Witness and Surveillance inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities or construction sites to ensure compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements and project specifications.

The role requires a B.S in Engineering or equivalent with 4+ years of inspection experience (or a 2-year diploma with 8+ years). Certifications such as AWS CWI or CSWIP are required, along with knowledge of API 653 and API 510 standards.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in Engineering or equivalent with 4+ years of inspection experience (or 2-year diploma with 8+ years).
• AWS CWI or CSWIP certification required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of API 653 and API 510 standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform Hold, Witness and Surveillance inspections and tests per SAUDI ARAMCO requirements.
• Inspect material and equipment to ensure proper handling, storage and protection at SAUDI ARAMCO facilities and sites.
• Monitor Contractor’s Quality Systems and records for compliance.
• Review and evaluate Contractor’s Quality document submittals.
• Witness on-site and off-site material/tests for SAUDI ARAMCO standards.
• Write inspection reports and initiate NCRs/WSs/EDRs as needed.
• Report findings in the required format and maintain confidentiality.

Job Description

• Perform “Hold”, “Witness” and “Surveillance” inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities or construction sites to ensure compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements and project specifications.
• Inspect material and equipment as applicable to ensure compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements for proper handling, storage and protection at SAUDI ARAMCO facilities and/or construction sites.
• Monitor Contractor’s Quality Systems, records and Quality Personnel for compliance with requirements.
• Review and evaluate the Contractor’s Quality document submittals.
• Witness on-site and off-site material and installations tests for compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO standards.
• Record legibly and accurately all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
• Write inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Worksheets (WSs) and Equipment Deficiency Report (EDRs) as needed.
• To do work as planned and scheduled with a better professional approach and to report the findings in the required format.
• To work safely during inspection activities and to advise others to work safely.
• To maintain the confidentiality requirements in each activity during the service period.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in Engineering in a respective inspection discipline with at least four (4) years of experience in the relevant inspection discipline. OR two (2) years of industrial/technical College Diploma plus a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant inspection experience.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) orCSWIP Welding Inspector Certification required.
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge of applicable international standards (Knowledge on API 653, 510)
