Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced Inspector to perform Hold, Witness and Surveillance inspections at manufacturing facilities and construction sites, ensuring compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements and project specs.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering or equivalent with 4+ years of inspection experience, or a technical diploma with 8 years, plus AWS CWI or CSWIP certification and API 570 knowledge. You will write NCRs and ensure safe, ethical operations.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering in a related inspection discipline with 4+ years of experience.
• Or a technical College Diploma with 8+ years of relevant inspection experience.
• AWS CWI or CSWIP Welding Inspector Certification is required.
• Knowledge of international standards (API 570) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Hold, Witness and Surveillance inspections at facilities or sites to meet SAUDI ARAMCO requirements and project specifications.
• Inspect materials/equipment for proper handling, storage and protection at SAUDI ARAMCO facilities/sites.
• Monitor Contractor's Quality Systems, records and Quality Personnel for compliance.
• Review and evaluate the Contractor’s Quality document submittals.
• Witness on-site and off-site material tests for compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO standards.
• Record legibly and report potential problems and NCRs, WSs, and EDRs as needed.
• Write inspection reports and initiate NCRs/WSs/EDRs as needed.
• Follow planned work with professional rigor and report findings in required format.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality during inspection activities.

Job Description

• Perform “Hold”, “Witness” and “Surveillance” inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities or construction sites to ensure compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements and project specifications.
• Inspect material and equipment as applicable to ensure compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements for proper handling, storage and protection at SAUDI ARAMCO facilities and/or construction sites.
• Monitor Contractor’s Quality Systems, records and Quality Personnel for compliance with requirements.
• Review and evaluate the Contractor’s Quality document submittals.
• Witness on-site and off-site material and installations tests for compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO standards.
• Record legibly and accurately all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
• Write inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Worksheets (WSs) and Equipment Deficiency Report (EDRs) as needed.
• To do work as planned and scheduled with a better professional approach and to report the findings in the required format.
• To work safely during inspection activities and to advise others to work safely.
• To maintain the confidentiality requirements in each activity during the service period.
• Operate to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in Engineering in a respective inspection discipline with at least four (4) years of experience in the relevant inspection discipline. OR two (2) years of industrial/technical College Diploma plus a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant inspection experience.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)orCSWIP Welding Inspector Certification required.
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge of applicable international standards (Knowledge on API 570)
