Job summary

Riyad Bank in Saudi Arabia seeks a seasoned Business Analysis Manager to supervise the Core Banking program and related projects. You will lead the program charter, governance, and budgeting while coordinating with stakeholders to ensure a seamless rollout and minimal disruption to transformation activities.

Responsibilities include managing scope, timelines, and resources, enforcing PMO standards, and delivering high-quality outputs to IT and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Banking or Computer science is required.
• PGMP or PFMP certification is preferable.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in program/project management.

Responsibilities

Job description

To supervise the activities of transformation and modernization of the new core banking in the bank in terms of Program Management and Project Management,

To act as a focal point for the new Core Banking program and interact with all other stakeholders and support teams whenever necessary.

To be in charge in implementing new Core Banking modernization by managing all related activities i.e. Business Processes re-engineering, Functional and Technical requirements and any activities that might impact surrounding systems for the existing/new core banking systems in accordance with the bank’s target architecture, strategy and objectives.

To be responsible for offering expertise and guidance on the overall program and to ensure that proper controls and program governance are in place for the smooth conduct of program activities with minimal disruption to the transformation activities that are running in the bank, with a focus on seamless rollout for new Core Banking platform with appropriate risk mitigation measures.

• Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Business Analysis Manager

• To manage the new Core Banking program and related projects, change requests and activities in line with approved project management policy and work closely with stakeholders to understand existing bank applications, business processes, challenges and limitations.
• To develop the Program charter considering the bank's governance policies and procedures.
• To develop the Program governance and project plans in accordance with Riyad Bank’s policies and procedures
• To manage the Program budget and to monitor the expenditure effectively
• To monitor and oversee the project situation and will propose the required resources to be onboarded based on each project phase and progress.
• To manage all the Program stakeholders and project teams to deliver program requirements on time and within budget according to agreed scope
• To be responsible for streamlined execution of assigned projects within the overall program by ensuring compliance of Project Managers with the project lifecycle from initiation to design, delivery and closure
• To ensure compliance with the PMO standards and processes in assigned projects through all lifecycle stages
• To manage the program scope, and monitor the timelines, budget and resources allocated for any slippage, issues and risks
• To conduct regular Program reviews with all stakeholders, and maintain regular communication channels with all relevant stakeholders
• To ensure that all deliverables to business and IT are of high quality and in line with the stakeholder expectations
• To proactively manage the program tasks’ / activities’ timelines for milestones completion and critical path management
• To oversee the management of the projects under the program with the respective Project Managers, while providing all the required information and details for the effective implementation of the projects
• To act as the escalation point between the various project steering committees and the PMO / Transformation Execution Committee / MANCOM to resolve any sort of issues / risks that may arise during program delivery effectively
• To monitor the execution progress of the respective projects within the overall program, identifies potential deviation from project plans, set targets and budgets
• To support the Project Managers in the implementation of the projects assigned to them and in the preparation of all relevant documentation, so as to support the execution of projects in compliance to the bank’s policies and procedures
• To be responsible for inter-project dependency management within assigned program and/or across the Bank wide portfolio
• To lead daily check-in meetings of Project Managers assigned within the respective Division, to include a review of the actions assigned to Project Managers from the previous day
• To contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement by taking into consideration international best practices of the banking industry
• To report the program updates to the bank’s Senior Management in a timely manner as a part of the bank’s governance standards
• To actively manage the timely resolution of outstanding defects or issues impacting the program
• To support in the preparation of key presentations, strategy documentation and other documents.
• To manage the communication to all Program stakeholders on a regular basis
• To onboard the required resources with the correct skill set and expertise, and
• To perform any other duties that may be directed or assigned.
• Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account "international best practice"

Reporting

• Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Riyad Bank to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.

• Undertake any other related duties or tasks as directed and required by the Bank.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in any of the fields like Finance / Business Administration / Banking / Computer science
• Possessing a valid PGMP or PFMP certification would be preferable.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience

Technical Knowledge areas:

• High level of understanding of all relevant documentation like RFP, BRD, SRD, IRD, etc. pertaining to core banking products/services requirements.
• In-depth understanding of verticals like Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Payments, Clearing, Lending, General Ledger operations, Banking channels etc.
• The ability to apply International Best Practices to all areas of Program Management for driving efficiency and effectiveness, and
• Ability to anticipate and identify any problems or issues and mitigating them by Risk Management techniques
