Job summary

Flip retail in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, seeks a Welding Engineer to lead welding procedure development, WPS/PQR qualification, welder qualification, and calibration of welding machines in line with ASME codes.

The role covers QA/QC activities for stress vessels and heat exchangers, with a focus on maintaining weld quality, tool calibration, and documentation such as weld maps, electrode baking and preheating criteria.

Qualifications

• Experience in stress vessels, warm exchangers and tube sheets.
• Knowledge of ASME codes and QA/QC processes.
• Proficiency with WPS/PQR preparation and weld map creation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and advance Welding Procedures (WPS) and PQRs.
• Qualify Welders and welding operators.
• Calibrate welding equipment and electrodes; manage preheating and bake-out processes.
• Maintain welders continuity and weld quality records.
• Prepare consolidated welder checklists monthly.
