Mercor is seeking detail-oriented Telugu language annotators to build training data for multilingual document understanding. The role focuses on high-accuracy transcription, precise region bounding, and meticulous reading-order tagging across complex Telugu pages.

As part of a team, you will annotate varying layouts—from handwritten forms to multi-column documents—ensuring faithful transcription and thorough metadata capture for model training.

Qualificações

• Native Telugu speaker with full command of Telugu script and orthography.
• Experience in document annotation, transcription, localization, or QA is preferred.
• Character-level accuracy is critical; a single diacritic error is a defect.

Responsabilidades

• Open and verify a task is in Telugu, legible, with real content and no personal data.
• Annotate structure by bounding regions and assigning component types and reading order.
• Record relationships linking regions to their parent figures or tables.
• Transcribe faithfully in Telugu script, flagging unreadable regions.
• Capture page metadata such as language, document type, source, and dimensions.
• Review a colleague’s work to ensure second-expert approval on first pass.
