Mercor in Portugal seeks a dedicated Telugu language annotation specialist to build high-quality training data for document understanding. You will identify and bound meaningful page regions, transcribe Telugu text exactly, and verify reading order across multi-column layouts.

Collaboration with another Telugu expert ensures final accuracy before submission. Applicants should be native Telugu speakers with experience in document annotation or related fields, and demonstrate meticulous attention

Qualificações

• Native Telugu speaker with full command of Telugu script and orthography.
• Experience in document annotation, transcription, localization, proofreading, or data review is preferred.
• Character-level accuracy matters; routing and reviewing for quality is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Open and check tasks to ensure content is Telugu and legible.
• Annotate structure by identifying regions (title, heading, paragraph, list, table, diagram) and assign types and reading order.
• Record relationships between regions and parent figures or tables.
• Transcribe faithfully in Telugu script, noting illegible regions.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, and handwriting/table flags.
• Review colleague work as part of a two-expert validation process.
