Empa-T is seeking a Technical Engineer to join an international Financial Services project. This role blends Production Support (75%) with Technical Project Management (25%) to optimize and evolve critical business applications and infrastructure platforms.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, define KPIs and SLAs, and drive cloud transformation and DevOps initiatives while ensuring governance and timely delivery across multiple stakeholders in a hybrid Lisbon/Porto setup.

Qualificações

• Experience in Production Support or Technical Project Management (or both).
• Strong IT infrastructure and production environments knowledge.
• Familiarity with Dynatrace or similar monitoring.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD.
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Experience in Agile and international teams.

Responsabilidades

• Provide Level 3 Production Support for critical applications.
• Ensure stability, performance, and operational continuity of production systems.
• Coordinate technical infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
• Act as primary point of contact for IT projects and production activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, middleware, cloud, application support, and business stakeholders.
• Define, monitor, and validate SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance metrics.
• Support cloud transformation initiatives and adoption of DevOps, Agile, Move2Cloud.
• Governance via steering committees, monitoring committees, and business validation boards.
• Drive technical improvements related to resilience and infrastructure optimization.
• Manage risk, issues, and change during projects.
• Support deployments, including out-of-hours and weekend activities when required.

We are looking for a Technical Engineer to join an international project within the Financial Services sector. This role combines Production Support (75%) and Technical Project Management (25%), contributing to the management, optimization, and evolution of critical business applications and infrastructure platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 Production Support for critical business applications and infrastructure environments
• Ensure the stability, performance, and operational continuity of production systems
• Manage and coordinate technical infrastructure projects from initiation to completion
• Act as the primary point of contact for IT projects and production-related activities
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, middleware, cloud, application support, and business stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and resilience requirements
• Support cloud transformation initiatives and the adoption of modern operating models such as DevOps, Agile, and Move2Cloud
• Define, monitor, and validate SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance metrics
• Manage project governance through steering committees, monitoring committees, and business validation boards
• Drive technical improvements related to obsolescence management, decommissioning, resilience, and infrastructure optimization
• Perform risk assessment, mitigation planning, and issue resolution throughout the project
• Support production deployments, including out-of-hours and weekend activities when required

Skills & Experience

• Experience in Production Support, Application Support, Infrastructure Support, or Technical Project Management
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, middleware, and production environments
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies
• Experience working with cloud platforms
• Experience with project management tools
• Basic knowledge of legacy technologies ( WebSphere, Autosys, CFT file Transfer)
• Strong understanding of infrastructure resilience, system lifecycle management, and operational governance
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience managing budgets, stakeholders, timelines, and project deliverables
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working within Agile and international environments
