Empa-T is seeking a Senior Fullstack Java Developer to join an international product team in Lisbon. You will design event-driven microservices and cloud-native applications, driving intelligent delivery decisions. The role combines backend Java with frontend Angular in a hybrid setup.

Eligible candidates bring 6+ years in Java/Spring Boot, cloud experience (AWS), and strong CI/CD, testing, and observability skills to deliver scalable, resilient systems for thousands of users.

Qualificações

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Java Developer to join an international product team focused on creating innovative delivery solutions through cloud-native and event-driven architectures. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate event-driven microservices that make intelligent delivery decisions based on parcel and customer data
• Build and maintain cloud-native applications leveraging modern software engineering practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality, automate processes, and enhance user experiences
• Develop scalable and resilient distributed systems capable of handling high transaction volumes
• Contribute to architectural decisions and promote best practices across the development lifecycle
• Design and implement REST APIs, asynchronous messaging solutions, and event-driven workflows
• Ensure software quality through automated testing and CI/CD practices
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and engineering excellence

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• +6 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience in designing and developing microservices architectures
• Solid understanding of cloud-native software development
• Experience with AWS and cloud deployment models
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
• Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, event-driven architectures, and streaming technologies
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases
• Frontend development experience with Angular (preferred)
• Strong focus on software quality, automated testing, and CI/CD
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging solutions
• Ability to analyze complex systems and drive continuous improvements
• Regular use of AI development tools in day-to-day work
