We’re Hiring: Technical Engineer / Production Project Manager | Porto or Lisbon
We are looking for a Technical Engineer / Production Project Manager to join an international IT environment, combining Production Support (L3) with Technical Project Management responsibilities.
The role is approximately 75% Production Support and 25% Project Management, working closely with technical teams, application support and business stakeholders.
What you’ll do
- Provide Level 3 production support across infrastructure and application environments
- Manage technical IT projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery within scope, time, budget and quality
- Coordinate infrastructure, development, QA, operations and application support teams
- Act as the main technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Define and implement technical architecture solutions for production environments
- Prepare application transitions into Production and ensure operational readiness
- Manage risks, dependencies, resilience, obsolescence and decommissioning activities
- Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs and production support requirements
- Lead governance, steering and validation committees
- Contribute to DevOps, Agile and Move2Cloud transformation initiatives
- Support technical activities across Linux, WebSphere, Oracle, Autosys, CFT, Cloud, Ansible and Kubernetes
- Contribute to monitoring, observability, automation and continuous improvement
- Strong experience in IT Production / Infrastructure
- Experience in Technical Project Management
- Monitoring & observability, ideally Dynatrace
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure Pipelines
- Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes
- Good understanding of AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana or Monday.com
- Basic knowledge of legacy technologies such as WebSphere, Autosys and CFT
- Cloud certification or demonstrable experience in cloud projects is a plus
