Empa-T in Lisbon/Porto hybrid project environment seeks a Data Analyst to transform data into actionable insights, supporting strategic initiatives within the Financial Services sector. You will work across teams to leverage data, analytics, and automation for continuous improvement.

You will utilize Python, SQL, and BI tools to build dashboards, automate data prep, and contribute to data pipelines and warehousing. English fluency is required; French is a plus.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
• Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join an international project within the Financial Services sector, helping business and operational teams leverage data, analytics, and automation to support strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, process, and analyse data from multiple internal and external sources
• Identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities through data-driven analysis
• Support decision-making processes by providing actionable insights and recommendations
• Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business stakeholders
• Perform data preparation, blending, transformation, and automation using Alteryx
• Contribute to the development and optimization of ETL processes and data pipelines
• Support data warehousing and data industrialization initiatives
• Collaborate closely with business teams, operations, sales, and stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Improve operational processes and controls through analytics and automation
• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to innovative solutions involving AI, APIs, and data-driven products

Skills & Experience

• +4 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
• Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Python
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with Alteryx is a plus
• Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
• Experience working with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
• Ability to manipulate, analyse, and interpret large datasets
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into analytical solutions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of PySpark, Airflow, Presto, Machine Learning, or AI-related initiatives is a plus
• Fluency in English
• French is a plus
