AgileEngine is seeking a ServiceNow Discovery SME to lead a large-scale Discovery environment, owning MID Servers, patterns, probes, schedules, credentials, and discovery health across Linux, Windows, and networking.

You will turn runbooks into structured workflows, collect telemetry, and drive data quality improvements with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana, collaborating with global teams remotely.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery including MID Servers, Discovery Patterns/Probes, credentials, schedules, ECC Queue, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CMDB/CSDM, CIs, identification/reconciliation, relationships, and data quality.
• Practical knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, compute, virtualization/cloud infra, authentication, processes/services.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, ports, SSH, WMI/WinRM, SNMP, HTTP/S.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Continuously assess the health of the ServiceNow Discovery ecosystem (MID Servers, schedules, and discovery coverage).
• Convert runbooks and troubleshooting procedures into structured, documented workflows to reduce manual investigation.
• Regularly collect and interpret metrics from Discovery and monitoring platforms into actionable improvements.
• Investigate complex infrastructure attributes to ensure data quality and successful discovery execution.
