Job summary

Soracom, a remote-first IoT connectivity company, seeks a Sales Engineer to be a trusted technical partner across the full customer lifecycle. You will collaborate with Soracom's sales and product teams, identify value, design solutions, and demonstrate capabilities to customers from discovery through production.

This role emphasizes expanding existing relationships, uncovering new use cases, and guiding presales activities.

Qualifications

Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer or similar technical sales role.
Track record of selling complex SaaS solutions.
Experience with pre-sales, discovery, solution design, and demonstrations.
Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal English communication; travel as needed.
Experience supporting customers remotely in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

Own the technical relationship across the customer lifecycle from pre-sales to production deployment.
Collaborate with sales and product teams to identify growth opportunities in accounts.
Develop trusted relationships with customers' technical stakeholders and act as a technical advisor.
Lead discovery and solution design, translating requirements into Soracom solutions.
Deliver customer-specific demonstrations and architecture discussions.
Guide onboarding and coordinate with support and engineering to resolve challenges.
Work with Product and Engineering to relay customer needs and improvements.
Stay up-to-date on IoT, cloud, networking tech and act as a thought partner.
Create sales enablement materials and gather competitive insights.
