Job summary

Claranet Portugal is seeking an Application Support Technician for a client on our Talent Team. The role involves providing application support, troubleshooting incidents, and ensuring high availability across Windows and Linux environments.

You will work with MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server databases, execute SQL scripts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and optimize processes. The ideal candidate has a degree in IT or related fields and roughly 3 years of experience

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Around 3 years of experience in Application Support roles.
• Solid experience with MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server databases.
• At least 1 year creating and executing SQL scripts and queries.
• At least 1 year of scripting in Java, Python, or Shell.
• At least 1 year of experience on Windows and Linux environments.
• At least 1 year using ticketing tools for incident management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive mindset and ability to work in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support, troubleshooting incidents and service requests.
• Monitor and maintain business applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to databases, integrations, and application workflows.
• Execute and optimize SQL queries and scripts to support application maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support environments running on Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Work with MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Use ticketing tools to manage incidents, service requests, and escalations according to SLAs.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application support processes.
