Job summary

Airbus Portugal SA is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our Airbus GBS. The role oversees ordering activities for procurement across France, Germany, Spain, the UK and Portugal, including PR/PO processes and supplier communications.

You will use SAP and Coupa, work in a dynamic, multicultural environment, and support continuous improvement while prioritizing urgent needs. This entry‑level position offers a hybrid work model and growth opportunities within Airbus European core countries.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain and/or procurement is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and customer focus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, especially in emergencies.
• Willingness to learn new tools and drive continuous improvement.
• Fluent in English; French/Spanish/German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage ordering activities for procurement across multiple countries.
• Create and update Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders; follow up on POs.
• Provide operational sourcing support and service desk assistance.

We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our Airbus GBS!

Responsibilities

The Procurement Purchasing Assistant manages ordering activities for Procurement Commodities within France, Germany, Spain, the UK and Portugal.

This also includes operational sourcing activities following the Procurement processes and strategies.

Essential Functions

Review of Purchase Requests (PRs) Purchase Order (PO) creation / update and follow up of POs Operational Sourcing Service Desk activities (provide support to internal stakeholders) Maintenance of info records (e.g. catalogues) Communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders (internal customers, buyers) Use of Airbus ERP Systems (SAP) Use of other specific tools (Coupa)

Requirements

• Experience in Supply Chain and/or Procurement is a plus
• Communication skills
• Be customer focused, understand priorities = knows how to prioritize in case of emergencies
• Eager to learn to work with new tools / be open to change and to continuous improvement
• Fluent in English French, Spanish or German would be a plus
• Enjoy a dynamic and multicultural environment with a lot of different tools and variety of products and services
• Shows a lot of reliability rigor and concentration at work
