Caixa Mágica Software is seeking an experienced Application Support professional to join the Application Production Support team in Portugal. The role focuses on ensuring the stability, availability and performance of critical business applications in production, with strong emphasis on incident management, monitoring, deployment processes and observability.

Competenze

More than 6 years of experience in Application Support and Production Services environments.
Strong knowledge of production support processes, monitoring, observability and incident management.
Experience working with ITIL and DevOps methodologies
Availability to participate in on‑call support rotations
Experience supporting critical business applications in enterprise environments
Strong focus on service quality, stability, performance and continuous improvement
Experience with Java Application Servers (RedHat JBoss EAP) and Java troubleshooting including heap and thread dump analysis
Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes and Cloud Platforms, API Gateway Integration (Axway, Apigee), RHEL Linux, Dynatrace Monitoring and Observability Tools (Grafana/Prometheus/Jaeger/ELK)
Experience with CI/CD Platforms: GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD and Nexus Sonatype
Experience with Infrastructure Automation using Ansible and/or Terraform
Experience with Relational Databases (Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL)
Experience with ITIL Processes, Incident Management and Change Management

Mansioni

Monitor and maintain production applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
Participate in incident management activities, including Situation Rooms, RCA analysis and problem resolution initiatives
Ensure implementation and compliance with ITIL governance standards and SLA commitments
Execute deployments, releases and change requests following established ITIL and DevOps processes
Proactively identify, analyze and resolve technical issues impacting business operations
Participate in on-call rotations and support critical applications in 24/7 production environments
Serve as a point of contact for Development teams, troubleshooting issues and coordinating corrective actions
Collaborate with Scrum teams to design, deploy and improve application platforms
Implement upgrades, patches and new functionalities while minimizing user impact
Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and troubleshooting guides
Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across global support teams
Implement and optimize monitoring and observability solutions within production platforms
Promote observability practices to enable early detection and resolution of application issues
