Job summary

Decskill is seeking an Application Production Support professional to assist with IT operations, incident handling and production readiness. You will work across applications and infrastructure to ensure smooth operations, implement automation, and contribute to project deliveries with a focus on best practices.

This role emphasizes monitoring, incident response, and collaboration with business stakeholders to resolve issues quickly while maintaining service levels.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience with RedHat Linux and good IT infrastructure knowledge.
• Application Performance Monitor (Dynatrace preferred).
• Cloud experience Kubernetes and cloud managed services (AWS, Azure or IBM Cloud), middleware (VIP, WAF, RDBMS, NoSQL, File Storage).
• Knowledge and experience with Database / Oracle Exadata and ETL (IBM DATA STAGE).
• Experience in Continuous Delivery, industrialization/automation of deliveries, deployments, rollbacks.

Responsibilities

• Support the business in their IT needs and understand business workflows and scenarios.
• Provide updates on the issue/task/project to business, teams and partners.
• Understand issues, related patches/releases and identify systemic causes.
• Contribute towards better post-release checkouts and automation of routine tasks.
• Manage incidents, crisis calls, communications and ensure SLA-compliant resolutions.
• Monitor application status and infrastructure resources; handle ITSM tickets.
• Track requests in the ticketing system and update progress accordingly.
• Engage escalation paths and define tactical solutions to resume processes swiftly.
