Job summary

Decskill is seeking a Technical Engineer Production Support to take end-to-end ownership of IT projects and lead technical teams across business, IT, and operations, ensuring delivery within scope, timelines, and budgets.

You will act as the main technical contact, design and implement architecture, and coordinate the production transition with Application Support. The role emphasizes Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, and automation in an international environment.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Technical Project Management, Infrastructure or Production Support.
Proven experience managing end-to-end IT projects, from design and implementation to production transition.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, production environments and application support.
Hands-on experience with Linux and exposure to WebSphere, Oracle, Autosys and CFT.
Good knowledge of Cloud technologies, preferably AWS, Azure or GCP.
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and automation, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with Monitoring & Observability tools, ideally Dynatrace.
Knowledge of Ansible and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience managing project scope, budget, resources, timelines, risks and dependencies.
Strong understanding of IT governance, project methodologies and production processes.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong stakeholder management, communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a complex international environment.
Fluent English – written and spoken.
Cloud certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner / Azure Fundamentals is a plus.

Responsibilities

Take end-to-end ownership of IT projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timelines, budget and quality standards.
Lead and coordinate technical teams, stakeholders and external contributors throughout the project lifecycle.
Act as the main technical point of contact, ensuring clear communication between business, IT, infrastructure and application teams.
Design, coordinate and implement technical architecture and infrastructure solutions supporting business applications.
Ensure successful transition of solutions into production, working with Application Support and Operations teams.
Provide Level 3 technical support and perform advanced technical activities in production environments.
Ensure availability, stability, resilience and operational readiness of production environments.
Define and validate production support SLAs and KPIs and ensure monitoring and observability.
Drive adoption of Cloud, DevOps, Agile, CI/CD and automation practices.
Contribute to Cloud transformation initiatives, including Move-to-Cloud projects.
Coordinate project governance, reporting, steering meetings and stakeholder communication.
Manage project budget, resources, timelines, risks, dependencies and technical constraints.
Ensure integration of technology obsolescence, decommissioning, resilience, security and cost optimisation into project planning and delivery.
Work with teams to ensure compliance with security, financial, operational and technology standards.
Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, optimisation and continuous improvement.
Translate business requirements into technical and IT solutions.
Ensure compliance with IT governance, processes, standards and regulatory requirements.
Support the implementation of new tools, technologies and ways of working across development, infrastructure and production teams.
Work effectively in an international environment with technical and functional stakeholders.
