Job summary

Decskill is expanding its IT consulting team and seeks an Application Support Analyst with Linux and SQL expertise. You will provide technical and functional support, manage incidents and changes, and collaborate across development, production and operations teams to ensure continuous service.

You will monitor applications, automate where possible, and contribute to knowledge base documentation while aligning with ITIL practices and service requirements in a dynamic, international context.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in Application Support or a similar role.
• Experience providing technical and functional support in a production environment.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident, problem and change management.
• Good knowledge of Linux environments.
• Experience with Oracle databases.
• Knowledge of Ansible for automation.
• Experience with Dynatrace or similar monitoring and observability tools.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident and service request management.
• Understanding of application production support, operational maintenance and infrastructure requirements.
• Ability to analyse incidents, troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities for automation and prevention.
• Good documentation, communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple technical teams and manage priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support to users, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of requests.
• Manage incidents, problems, changes and service requests throughout the application support lifecycle.
• Coordinate with other support teams to ensure service continuity.
• Monitor the technical and functional components of applications and ensure proper functioning.
• Ensure smooth execution of operational processes, including batch jobs, data transfers and workflows.
• Manage application releases and support deployment activities within the assigned scope.
• Analyse incidents and application data to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Implement monitoring and automation initiatives to improve performance and user experience.
• Process requests for data processing, extractions and operational tasks.
• Create, maintain and improve technical documentation and procedures.
• Define control points and prepare ad hoc reports for smooth processes.
• Communicate progress and resolutions clearly to users and stakeholders.
• Manage functional change requests and contribute to process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and service requirements, implementing corrective actions.
