Portugal Active is seeking an on-site Operations Manager to oversee field operations across villas and properties in Portugal. You will lead housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance teams, align them with 5-star standards, and drive cost-conscious execution daily.

You operate between properties and standards, ensuring flawless arrivals, strict budget control, and regular field inspections. This hands-on role rewards practical, fast decision-making and real operational growth.

Qualificações

• 5+ years managing operations in hospitality, short-term rentals or hotels (mandatory)
• Proven experience leading field teams: housekeeping, maintenance or similar (mandatory)
• 100% Portuguese fluency (mandatory) + professional English
• Strong command of budgets, cost control and supplier negotiation (mandatory)
• Driving licence and availability to move across the region daily (mandatory)
• Fast, autonomous, precise, low ego, hands-on.
• A real team player.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate housekeeping, laundry and maintenance teams, internal and external
• Own the operations calendar: check-ins, turnovers, interventions
• Zero failed arrivals
• Control operational budgets: cost per property, per category, per clean
• Negotiate, manage and procure suppliers: comparative quotes, unit prices, SLAs
• Enforce quality standards and SOPs by property tier, with regular field inspections
• Resolve guest-facing damages and incidents fast, documented, within platform deadlines
• Manage stock, warehouse and consumables with full discipline
• Deliver daily operational KPIs and continuous improvement to leadership

You take over our field operations end to end: housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and guest-facing quality.

This is an operator and builder role, not a supervisory one.

You sit between the properties and the standards, protect quality and help us organise, structure and grow.
