8 80 Collective in Lisbon is seeking a Head of Operations to oversee day-to-day operations across our 3 hostels. This on-site role requires practical leadership, hands-on problem solving, and a focus on smooth, guest‑centric operations.
You will support hostel managers and the ownership team, streamline processes, coordinate maintenance and suppliers, and ensure high hospitality standards across properties.
8 80 Collective is a 100% Portuguese‑owned hospitality and lifestyle group.
In Portugal, 8 or 80 means the little and the big, the rough and the beautiful, the young and the old. Life in all its edges. We built a collective on that idea. Every place by 880 is fully itself. No formula. Just places that know what they are.
We bring together a diverse range of independent places to stay across Portugal—including social hostels, surf retreats, guesthouses, and rural escapes. Each property is carefully curated to preserve its unique character and deliver authentic, memorable experiences.
We’re looking for a Head of Operations to join our team and oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our 3 hostels in Lisbon. This is a on‑site full time position.
We’re looking for someone organised, practical, proactive, and good with people. Someone who can support our managers, keep an eye on the bigger picture, and make sure our properties, teams, and operations are running smoothly.
This is a hands‑on role. You’ll work closely with the hostel managers and the ownership team, helping solve problems, improve processes, organise priorities, and make our operations better every day.
We’re looking for someone practical, hard‑working, and positive. Hospitality is full of unexpected situations, so good energy, common sense, and the ability to find solutions are a big part of the role.
We’re not looking for someone who only wants to sit behind a desk.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being involved, understanding how things work, supporting people, and constantly looking for better ways to do things.
Interested? We’d love to hear from you!
