Ideal candidates bring strong wine knowledge, guest-focused hospitality, and fluency in Portuguese and English, with comfort in a luxury hotel setting and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of wine and beverages, with ability to describe origin, varietal, tasting notes and production methods.
• Experience maintaining accurate wine storage, rotation and inventory.
• Excellent hospitality and guest interaction skills.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English; comfortable working in a luxury hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Curate and maintain an exceptional wine list aligned with the restaurant concept and seasonal menus.
• Stay updated on global wine trends and sustainable practices.
• Oversee wine service standards: proper glassware, serving temperature and presentation.
• Organize wine tastings and pairing events for guests.
• Collaborate with chefs to design pairing menus and seasonal offerings.
• Train F&B staff on wine knowledge and responsible service.
• Control beverage costs through purchasing and supplier negotiations.
• Assist with stock levels and regular inventory checks.
