Job summary
An international engineering group is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical and I&C works for a solar PV plant in Sohar, Oman. You will ensure compliance with technical specifications and manage contractors effectively. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 7-10 years of site supervision experience, especially in solar projects. Full-time presence on-site is required for around 6 months, with possible extension.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7-10 years' experience in electrical site supervision.
- At least 3-5 years on utility-scale solar PV or power generation projects.
- Strong understanding of PV plant systems.
Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical and I&C works on site for the PV plant.
- Monitor contractors to ensure compliance with design and specifications.
- Prepare daily/weekly supervision reports for the Project Manager.

Job Description
- Supervise electrical and I&C works on site for the PV plant (DC strings, inverters, transformers, LV/MV equipment, earthing and lightning, cabling and terminations).
- Monitor contractors to ensure compliance with design, technical specifications, HSE and quality requirements.
- Review and comment on electrical method statements, ITPs, shop drawings and test procedures.
- Witness inspections and testing/commissioning activities as required.
- Prepare daily/weekly supervision reports and highlight risks, delays and technical issues to the Project Manager.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering (or Electrical & Electronics).
- Minimum 7-10 years\' experience in electrical site supervision, including at least 3-5 years on utility-scale solar PV or power generation / substation projects.
- Solid understanding of PV plant systems, MV/LV distribution and protection.
- GCC experience and familiarity with local standards / utility requirements are a plus.
- Strong communication and reporting skills in English.
- Availability to mobilize to Sohar end of January / beginning of February 2026.
- Full-time presence on site in Sohar for approx. 6 months, with possible extension
