Job summary
A renewable energy company in Teluk Intan, Perak, is seeking an experienced individual for power generation responsibilities. The successful candidate will handle operations, maintenance, and compliance with safety standards in a biomass power plant. Key qualifications include a Steam Engineer grade 2 and a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Hands-on experience and the ability to work shifts are essential for this role.

- Responsible for power generation and quality process control.
- Plan and monitor preventive maintenance for E&I equipment.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and safety standards.

Education
Etagreen Biomass Energy Sdn Bhd – Teluk Intan, Perak
Responsible for power generation / oil production & quality process control, plant maintenance, plant installation, and project commissioning & functions.
Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations.
Ensure optimum operation of Biomass Power Plant process in compliance with company policy.
Responsible for maintaining quality system requirements for laboratory are met and implemented effectively including evaluation of the test and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Implement plant safety working conditions and environmental control measures.
Responsible for government regulation (DOE, DOSH, MPOB & ETC).Plan & monitor Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) technician daily routine maintenance and checklist.
Plan preventive maintenance for critical E&I equipment.
Control E&I spare parts to make sure available when needed.
Attend major breakdown to minimize plant downtime.
Keep maintain MSB Panel, HT Panel (11kV switchgear), Battery room, Distribution & Export transformer and Blackstart genset to ensure all are in good working condition.
Provide technical guidelines for E&I technician to improve their skills and knowledge.
Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Liaise with our Electrical subcontractor and liaise with TNB for operation and maintenance underground cable and switching activity.
Liaise with DOSH for Annual boiler inspection.
Plan and monitor boilerman daily routine checklist.
Plan preventive maintenance for boiler and turbine equipment.
Control spare parts to make sure available when needed.
Attend to boiler and turbine major breakdown to minimize downtime.
To troubleshoot, analyze and solve machine’s technical problem.
Evaluate current preventative/predictive maintenance program to identify areas of improvement.
Keep good record for daily routine checklist and preventive maintenance activities for future references.
Establish safe and efficient operation of the power plant during the shift by carrying out patrol to all the equipment and log all the data required.
Maintain good discipline during the shift hours or working hours.
Compliances to legislation & regulatory requirement
Provide ideas for continuous improvement in operation practice
Must possess Steam Engineer grade 2 with more than 2 years’ experience.
Have attained the required knowledge and skills from a higher learning institution, preferably a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Working experience in palm oil mill will be an added advantage
Hands on technical experience at least more than 2 years.
Able to work in shifts.
Familiar with PLC and Instrumentation installation and troubleshooting.
Familiar with water tube boiler operation and maintenance
