Job summary
A logistics company in Beaufort, Sabah is seeking a talented individual to manage driver coordination and oversee daily activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and communication skills, be legally allowed to work in Sabah, and have experience in logistics operations. This role requires flexibility, as it operates on a rotational shift basis. Benefits include experience in a dynamic environment and potential overtime opportunities.
Qualifications
- Legally allowed to work in Sabah based on respective state law requirements.
- Willing to work on a rational shift basis depending on business needs.
- Experience in logistics operations would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with postcodes / routing / mapping would be of good use.
Responsibilities
- Delegate tasks for sorters & drivers based on headcounts.
- Coordinate and schedule daily activities with drivers.
- Monitor driver behavior and ensure high customer service levels.
- Assist fleet team lead in deploying and training new drivers.
- Monitor and report KPI compliance.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies for parcel collection.
Skills
Education
- Delegate tasks for sorters & drivers depending on the number of headcounts
- Receive and inbound parcels from the linehaul team
- Coordinate and schedule daily activities with drivers to ensure all delivery activities are carried out in a timely manner
- Monitor driver behavior and ensure a high level of customer service
- Assist the fleet team lead in the deployment and training of new drivers where applicable
- Monitor and report KPI compliance
- Ensure the compliance of safety policies and standard operations procedures for in-hub parcel collection
- Legally allowed to work in Sabah based on respective state law requirements
- Willing to work on a rational shift basis depending on business needs
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in logistics operations would be an advantage
- Familiarity with postcodes / routing / mapping would be of good use
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguous situations
- Fast learner, comfortable with a dynamic environment
- Diploma / Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or relevant disciplines is advantageous
- Working pattern: 45 working hours weekly, Rotational shift schedule, Overtime if required
- Working location: Beaufort, Sabah
