A leading company in the automotive lighting sector seeks a Materials Engineer to oversee the Materials Laboratory in Monterrey. The role involves conducting tests, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing technical support to various departments. Candidates should have a relevant engineering degree and laboratory experience, ideally in automotive lighting.
• Technical Supervision of the Materials Laboratory of the POL Monterrey Plant.
• Strong knowledge of materials processing and properties (polymers)
• Knowledge of Environmental Tests, Climatic, Corrosion, and Humidity.
• Experience with performing and conducting material laboratory tests such as tensile strength, IZOD impact, hardness, color & haze measurements, fogging test, and others.
• Experience in running FTIR, DSC and TGA equipment and analyzing data.
• Verification and analysis of test results for compliance with legal and client requirements.
• Establish and verify test methods based on customer requirements, industrial specifications, POL specifications and Government Regulations for the evaluation of external lighting products.
• Technical support to the quality and engineering areas in the analysis for the solution of problems related to POL products.
• Monitoring of laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance programs.
• Test support for the evaluation of defective parts for warranties.
• Support DV (Design Validation) and PV (Product Validation) tests in POL for new model products and creation of test reports.
•Always looking for improvements to perform test processes implementing new technologies hardware and software.
• Know and comply with and enforce the Environment, health and Safety (EH&S) policy and guidelines of the plant.
