Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Manager, Tax Technology to lead tax platform and business projects on the DoorDash platform, partnering with Tax Engineering, TAP, and Tax Product. You will translate tax requirements into functional specifications for the Vertex CoE and oversee testing across multiple phases.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of indirect tax or indirect tax technology experience.
• Experience with US sales and use tax, and cross-border GST/PST including Canada and ANZ.
• Experience configuring Vertex O Series or a similar tax engine.
• Ability to translate business and tax requirements into functional system requirements and review technical/design documents.
• Direct engagement with engineering teams on product development.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tax platform projects and new launches on the DoorDash platform.
• Gather and translate business/tax requirements into functional specifications for the Vertex CoE.
• Review BRDs, PRDs, and TDDs for tax-system implications and provide tax expertise.
• Define testing requirements and oversee validation across unit, integration, E2E, shadow, and post-launch phases.
• Trace tax-relevant data from upstream systems through Vertex to reporting and flag gaps.
• Lead offshore team and establish QA checkpoints; manage knowledge transfer.
