Job summary

DoorDash, Inc. seeks an experienced Manager of Tax Technology to lead tax platform projects, focusing on new integrations across verticals, merchants, and product launches.

This role sits at the intersection of tax, product, engineering, and the Vertex Center of Excellence, turning business and tax requirements into configured, tested capabilities. You will lead end-to-end delivery, gather requirements from TAP and Tax Product, review design documents, and ensure readiness for production

Qualifications

• 6+ years indirect tax or indirect tax technology experience.
• Experience with US sales and use tax, Canada GST/HST/PST, and Australia & New Zealand GST across food/bev and retail contexts.
• Experience implementing or configuring Vertex O Series or similar tax engines.
• Translate business and tax requirements into functional system requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to drive delivery.
• Proficient with Alteryx and API testing tools like Postman or SOAP UI.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tax feature development and launches on the DoorDash platform.
• Gather business/tax requirements from TAP, Tax Product, and stakeholders and translate them into functional tax specs.
• Review BRDs, PRDs and TDDs for tax-system implications and provide tax input to engineering.
• Define testing requirements and oversee validations across unit, integration, E2E, and post-launch phases.
• Trace tax data flow from upstream systems through Vertex to reporting and flag gaps or risks.
• Mentor offshore team and establish QA checkpoints and knowledge transfer.
