Job summary

DoorDash Mexico is seeking an experienced Manager, Tax Technology to lead tax platform initiatives on the DoorDash platform. You will translate business and tax requirements into functional system designs for the Vertex Center of Excellence and drive end-to-end delivery of tax features across new verticals, merchants, and product launches.

You will work with Tax Engineering, TAP, Tax Product, and business stakeholders to ensure data flows from upstream systems through Vertex to downstream

Qualifications

• 6+ years of indirect tax or indirect tax technology experience.
• Experience with US sales and use tax, Canada GST/HST/PST, and ANZ GST.
• Experience configuring Vertex O Series or similar tax engine.
• Translate tax requirements into functional system requirements.
• Engage with engineering teams on product development.
• Understand tax data flow from systems to reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax platform and business projects on the DoorDash platform.
• Gather requirements from TAP, Tax Product, and stakeholders for Vertex CoE.
• Review BRDs, PRDs, and TDDs for tax implications and provide expertise.
• Define testing requirements and oversee validations across phases.
• Trace tax data from upstream to downstream reporting and flag gaps.
• Lead and develop offshore team with QA checkpoints.
