Nextpower is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the LATAM Project Engineering Team based in Brazil. The role involves working with key accounts across LATAM to manage day-to-day issues on utility-scale PV projects from development to construction support.

Location: Mexico City, Mexico. The position will interface with teams in the US, Mexico, Europe, Australia, and India, and support design standards, calculations, and construction documents for Nextpower’s solar projects worldwide.

Formación

• BS in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of structural engineering work experience in the EPC industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other structural analysis software (RISA, STAAD, LPILE).
• Thorough knowledge of engineering standards and codes (ABNT NBR, ASCE, AISC, AISI).
• Experience in structural analysis and design (dead/live/snow/wind/seismic) and construction documents.

Responsabilidades

• Produce civil and structural design documentation, including drawings and calculations.
• Assist in project development phase, review site information,calcs and cost estimation.
• Prepare wind, seismic, foundation, and other structural calculations and sign/seal as required.
• Provide construction support; RFIs and submittals.
• Coordinate with regional Engineers to update standards and design tools.
• Manage schedule and review consultants' works.
• Assist in expanding the Design Services team.
