Nextpower seeks a Structural Engineer to join the LATAM Project Engineering Team, based in Brazil, managing issues on utility-scale PV projects from development through construction support.

The role covers wind, seismic, foundation, and other structural design tasks, with collaboration across global teams in the US, Mexico, Europe, and beyond. Location: Mexico City, Mexico. Reporting to Sr. Manager, Project Engineering, LATAM.

Formación

• BS in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of structural engineering work experience in the EPC industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other structural analysis software (RISA, STAAD, LPILE).
• Thorough knowledge of ABNT NBR, ASCE, AISC, AISI codes.
• Experience in wind, seismic, dead and live loads; design of steel and concrete structures.
• Programming skills in VB and Python are a plus.
• Fluent in English; Portuguese a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Produce civil and structural design documentation, including drawings and calculations.
• Assist in project development phase, review site information, calculations, and cost estimation.
• Prepare wind, seismic, foundation, and other structural calculations and sign/seal as required.
• Provide construction support; RFIs and submittals.
• Assist in development of Nextracker products and understanding of Nextracker design.
• Coordinate with Structural/Civil Engineers in other regions on standards, specifications and tools.
• Manage schedule and review consultants' works.
• Assist in development of expanding Nextracker Design Services team.
