Nextpower Inc is seeking a Structural Engineer I in Mexico City to join the Project Engineering Team. The role supports key accounts across the United States, handling day-to-day structural engineering for utility-scale PV projects from development through construction.

The engineer will perform wind, seismic, and foundation analyses, prepare structural documents, and coordinate with teams in the US, India, and other offices. Fluency in English is required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the EPC solar industry.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design including wind, seismic, dead/live loads; steel and concrete.
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ASTM, AISC/AISI, ACI codes and standards.
• Proficiency with Excel, AutoCAD, and foundation analysis tools (LPile/AllPile).
• Experience with finite element analysis software such as RISA-3D, STAAD.Pro, OpenSees; exposure to dynamic analysis is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Produce structural design calculations for solar tracker racking systems.
• Support project development by reviewing site conditions and preliminary structural calculations.
• Conduct wind, seismic, and foundation load analyses and prepare calculation packages.
• Provide construction support and respond to RFIs and submittals.
• Collaborate with cross-regional engineering teams to maintain design standards.
