Nextpower in Mexico City is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Project Engineering Team, supporting key accounts across North America. You will manage day-to-day structural tasks for foundations of utility-scale PV projects from development through construction.

The role requires solid wind, seismic, and foundation design experience, proficiency in FE analysis tools, and fluency in English to communicate with international clients and cross-border teams.

Formación

• BS in Structural Engineering with emphasis on Foundations.
• MS in Structural Engineering is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (IBC, ASCE, ASTM, AISC, ACI).
• Proficiency in finite element software (RISA, STAAD, or equivalent).
• Experience with wind, seismic, foundation loads; steel design & construction documentation.
• MS Office, AutoCAD, and foundation tools (LPILE/AllPile, RISA Foundation, STAAD Foundations, Plaxis).
• Fluent English for client communication and cross-border projects.

Responsabilidades

• Produce civil and structural design documentation, drawings and calculations.
• Review site information, perform calculations, and contribute to cost estimations.
• Perform wind, seismic, and foundation analyses; prepare calculations and reports.
• Provide construction phase support by responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
• Collaborate with engineers across regions to maintain standards and tools.
• Manage schedules and reviews of deliverables from consultants.
• Support development and expansion of Nextpower’s Design Services team.
• Occasional site visits to supervise geotech investigations and foundation work.
