Nextpower is seeking a Structural Engineer for the LATAM Project Engineering Team, based in Brazil, with the role located in Mexico City. You will manage wind load calculations, steel and foundation designs, and support project quoting with civil/structural packages.

Collaborate with teams in the US, Mexico, Europe, and beyond to align standards, sign off on critical designs, and drive construction support for solar projects across LATAM.

Formación

• BS in Structural or Civil Engineering is required.
• 5 years structural engineering work experience in the EPC industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and structural analysis software (RISA, STAAD, LPILE).
• Knowledge of ABNT NBR, ASCE, AISC, AISI codes and standards.
• Experience in wind, seismic, foundation design and construction documents.
• VB and Python programming is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Portuguese a plus.
• Self-motivated, team player with good communication.

Responsabilidades

• Produce civil and structural design documentation, including drawings and calculations.
• Assist in project development phase, review site information, calculations, and cost estimation.
• Prepare wind, seismic, foundation, and other structural calculations and sign/seal as required.
• Provide construction support; respond to RFIs and submittals.
• Assist in development of NexTracker products and understand the product line.
• Coordinate with regional Structural/Civil Engineers to standardize design tools and templates.
• Manage schedule and review consultants’ structural works.
• Assist in expanding NexTracker Design Services team.
