Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks a Cost Manager to work with an international client, delivering budget estimates, BOQs and cost reports. The role requires advanced English and Spanish, and experience in procurement, change control, and payments administration.

Responsibilities include design reviews across stages, cost breakdowns, bid evaluations, and leading a cost management team where needed. Occasional site visits may be required; full-time onsite in Mexico City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• RICS Certifications/Memberships.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a budget estimate to support a feasibility study using parametric cost analysis.
• Review designs at Concept, SD, DD & IFC and prepare quantity take-offs with a quantified BOQ cost breakdown.
• Prepare a cost estimate report and present results to stakeholders including the Client.
• Manage procurement processes, implement procurement and contracting strategies and participate in negotiations.
• Verify change control processes, document design changes and negotiate change orders.
• Ensure General Contractor and Subcontractor payments align with contract requirements and milestones.
• Review and recommend interim payments based on progress and substantiation.
• Lead cost management activities and mentor the cost team where applicable.
• Occasionally commute to office or site; if site-based, be full-time onsite.
