Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Mexico City is seeking a senior cost management professional to lead budgeting, cost control, and procurement strategies for international projects. You will review designs, prepare BOQs, and present cost analyses to the Client and stakeholders.

The role requires 8–12 years of experience, fluent English and Spanish, and strong leadership to manage a cost team and deliver accurate monthly cost reporting.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years professional experience related to Cost Management
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Ability to work under pressure to deliver deadlines
• Good communication skills and experience explaining concepts to Clients
• Strong client management and team leadership skills
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi, CostX, AutoCAD knowledge

Responsibilities

• Conduct budget estimates to support feasibility studies using parametric cost analysis
• Review designs at Concept, SD, DD & IFC stages and prepare quantity take-offs and a quantified BOQ cost breakdown
• Prepare cost estimate reports with qualifications for stakeholders including the Client
• Manage procurement processes, strategies and negotiations through RFPs and contract preparation
• Verify change control, document changes, and process change orders for budget adjustments
• Ensure payment applications by GC and Subcontractors align with contract requirements
• Lead a cost management team and report progress to Client and internal stakeholders
• Occasionally visit site and office to support project delivery
